The more I look at cabin inspired themes, the more I wished I lived in the mountains. Living in NYC, a persons apartment is usually small and in no ways a mountain escape. Here are some things you can add to your city home to give it a warm cabin feel.
Electric fireplaces are a great way to stay warm. Most apartments don't come with one so having a realistic fake one is a great trick. Plus mostly all of them do give off heat so it will feel like you are cozying up next to one. If you don't have enough space, some heaters also come in a fireplace look. Oh and another cool thing about them is you can use them year round! You have an option to turn it on without the heat for those summer nights.
Also adding a little cabin inspired decor is a nice touch. Anything wood of course is a great way to achieve the look. There are also a ton of DIY wood projects you can find if your more the crafty kind.
So get those warm cozy sweaters ready, make some hot chocolate and escape into your city cabin.
