NYFW: RAFAEL CENNAMO BACKSTAGE & PRESENTATION
September 12, 2012As a contributor for the Icon Concierge I attended the Spring/Summer 2013 Rafael Cennamo presentation at Lincoln Center. I also got to go backstage and take a closer look at the make-up process.
Rafael Cennamo’s
collection was filled with edgy structured evening wear that brought a
contemporary and classic vibe into his spring/summer 2013 presentation.
The details in his pieces enhanced the texture, creating an alluring
ensemble. Crystals and pearls were sewn into the fabric that created new
patterns. One of my favorites was a mint green dress, with a folding
fan structure covering the lower part of the face, intensifying the
eyes.
When I entered backstage prior to the presentation, the first thing that
caught my attention was the eye make-up concept. The make-up artists
repeated the eyelash stroke under the eye, giving a reflected image.
Once I got to see the finished look with the collection on the models,
the make-up gave an overall dramatic edge.
This collection will make you wish you had an event to attend the
second you see it. The palette consisted of pastel, neutral and bright
colors, combining the subtle and more outgoing tastes.

Thanks for sharing these pictires!!! I like the makeup a lot! It's obviously too dramatic and theatrical for everyday life but I think it can be done on some occasions or photoshoots
