As a contributor for the Icon Concierge I attended the Fall 2013 Herve Leger by Max Azria runway show. I was and still am grateful that Sade from The Icon Concierge let me cover this amazing show. Maz Azria is one of my favorites so it was a great experience.
Below is my article which you can also read here.
Fur, beading and stud details came out in full force during the Herve Leger by Max Azria New York Fashion Week Fall 2013 runway show. Inspired by Les Lalanne, the collection mixes elements of reality and nature. The detailed patterns enhanced the pieces creating an alluring ensemble. The incredible attention to stud detailing of the bandage dresses added depth. The color palette consisted of blacks, whites, maroon, dark greens and grays making it perfect for autumn. When every model that walked down the runway, I wished I had more time to view the pieces. The jockey caps, use of leggings and fur hoods tied together creating an urban edge and complete fall staples. Not to mention the shirts under dresses to perfect the art of layering.
The crop tops in this collection showcased a way to wear them in the fall. My favorite was a long sleeve black and white animal/geometrical pattern combination. Paired with a high waisted pant of the same pattern, it enhances the most flattering part on a women’s body.
Nichole Galicia, Sami Gayle, Coco Rocha, Russell Simmons, Miss Teen USA Logan West and MISS USA Nana Meriwether came out to watch and support the show.
The Fall 2013 continues to keep the urban and signature looks of Max Azria’s Herve Ledger yet added fresh and updated elements. This was one of my must see shows this season, and it did not disappoint.
* A huge thank you to Sade from Icon Concierge and my photographer Greg Yakubov for giving us these shots!
